Abbey Netball Oxford

A big congratulations to Abbey for winning the 2012 Town v Gown game held on Sunday 10th June at Headington Girls.

After a bit of a shakey start upon realising the the sports hall was set up with hundreds of desks and chairs for exams, the two teams agreed to an outdoor game in ideal weather conditions.

Abbey took an early 4 goal lead in the first quarter and were able to sustain this lead throughout the game, building on it in the final quarter.

Harriet Boland was named player for the match by the opposition and jointly by the Abbey team with Naida Bromley.

We look forward to meeting Oxford Blues again next season to go for a fifth consecutive title.
