Abercynon u12s played Rumney Cardiff in the blues cup final at Cardiff arms park. Cynon travelled down on Monday nite in what was 2 be their 1st time to play in a blues cup final. All the hard work had been done all season it was up to the boys to go out and enjoy a great occasion and a chance to play on a top class rugby ground. Cynon started very shaken their nerves gettin the better of them on times, Rumney havin experienced playin in a final before new what to expect, and went 2trys up bounce favouring them on 1 occasion half time Cynon were trailing 12 points to nil after havin a team talk at half time Cynon started the 2nd half very strong, Rumney scored a further try at the start of the 2 nd half makin the score 17-0 to Rumney Cynon bein the team that they Are and with their never Say die attitude took the game by the scruff of the neck and totally dominated the last 17 minutes of the game and hit back with 2 try's of their own with time runnin out Cynon were on top of Rumney and were really puttin the pressure on Rumney but as luck happens and time tickin away the ref blew his whistle for full time makin the final score Rumney 17 Abercynon 12 .boys keep u heads up high every 1of u played superb and we are all very proud of your effort on the night there is always next year we have had a fabulous season yet again and we are lookin forward 2 next season see u all in presentation on Saturday well done boys.
