Passive scrums proposed by the visitors due to both props being involved in a car accident on their way to the game slightly disrupted preparations for this tough encounter. Thankfully both props are not seriously injured and are both recovering well from the incident.
Aberdare once again fielded a very young team against an experienced Treharris outfit whose most players are in their final year of youth rugby.
The 1st half was a stop-start affair with passive scrums and a number of infringements contributing to a fractured 35 minutes.
The second half was played with a much higher tempo with opportunities for both teams to capture a win.
Despite a late comeback, Aberdare fell short by just one point and were unable to turnover the league favourites.
The team have made huge strides forward this year and it is hoped the squad will finish strongly and as high up the league as possible.
