Aberdare's rich vain of form came to a crashing halt, due to a well drilled over powering St. Peters team.

The Rocks scored an immediate try to set the tone for the first half on dominating rugby. Aberdare's outside half Steven Roberts closed the gap to 5-3.

St. Peters second try came from a well worked passage of play with the hooker combining with an outside back to walk underneath the posts.

Aberdare showed some promising inter play with forwards inter linking with each other, which resulted in an offence by the opposition. Steven Roberts failed to convert the pressure in to points.

Aberdare's constant mistakes resulted in several soft tries. The Rocks number eight received an inside pass to stroll through an ever present gap and ran twenty meters unopposed under the posts. St. Peters third try came from some silky backs passing and the winger scoring in the corner.

The score at the break was 22-3.

The first half introduction of Matthew Bowen, Aberdare's answer to Matthew Rees was ever present from hooker. Putting in some quality tackles and elusive runs.

Aberdare's Matthew Bowen had a try disallowed in the last play of the match but this was the only negative from a Man of the Match performance.
