Aberdeenshire RFC 3rd XV have been invited to join the RBS Caledonia 3 North, as of next week. This provides a 50% increase in game time opportunities for club players on a weekly basis. The first fixture will be away to Huntly on the 20th October. Ryan Mountain will run this team in the short term but he will need assistance from many others to make it a success. In some respects the hard work starts here to ensure that we build a competitive side in the league as a useful stepping stone to the 2nds and 1sts. Oh and now we need a name for this team – suggestions welcome.
