ARFC Annual Club Dinner 2013 with guest speaker Pat Sanderson sponsored by Divex

The main guest speaker is Pat Sanderson - Ex-England and Worcester Player, while there are also speeches by SRU Council member, Director of Scottish Rugby, Scottish Rugby Board member and Honorary Shire President Mike Monro, 1st XV Captain Kris Gilmartin (Gillie) and Quines President Sarah Butcher.
The annual awards presentation will also take place on the night.
Pat Sanderson played over 100 first team appearances as a Flanker for Worcester RFC, scoring over 22 tries in the process. The highlight of his playing career has included being Captain of England during their tour to Australia in 2005, while also being nominated for Zurich and PRA Players’ Player of the year in 2004/05, in which he started every Premiership game that season. He was also a high-calibre sevens player having played for his country in several of the IRB Sevens Series Events, including help England win the prestigious Hong Kong event on one occasion. He only recently retired in 2011 due to a shoulder injury, but has stayed involved in the game through becoming the Chairman of the Professional Rugby Players Association and undertaking television work with Sky Sports and ESPN. He is well respected and known within the game, and with his stories from his many travels and experiences within the game, he is sure to provide all in attendance with a great night’s entertainment.
