Stix Skills
Each Year we take part in the Welsh Hockey Union Stix Skills Award scheme which is sponsored by HSBC. This has been developed to improve the basic skills essential in hockey among young children. The plus award is the advanced award for those players that want to push themselves to achieve the higher set of scores.
The Stix Skills award is made up of six game specific drills which last for 1 minute. The skills covered include:
* Passing
* Dribbling
* Shooting
* Tackling
therefore covering both attacking and defending phases of play.
When a player achieves the required scores in all six skills they will be rewarded with a fantastic Stix Skills badge and certificate.
