With a month out of the game, we hope that our players will relish the chance to compete on a new Astroturf, under new captains fully motivated by an Olympic Summer.
We have a number of events planned for the weeks leading up to the start of the season including an indoor hockey session on the 14th July,
a senior hockey tour to Truro,
Abergavenny’s very own Olympic Fan zone and a chance to watch
Wales play Ireland, Sweden and Austria in September.
As agreed at our club AGM, membership prices will stay the same this season and therefore the committee would like to provide an early notice of the membership fees which are payable by the end of August. These fees will cover your affiliation to Hockey Wales which is required for insurance purposes. It will also cover the team’s entry into the leagues. We understand that membership can be costly if sprung on players early in the season; therefore we would like to give everyone as much notice as possible.
We have also continued with the flexible membership options, please see
letter to all players who are intending to play any senior hockey this season.
If you have any issues with this or need any further information then please do not hesitate to contact your team captain or Nick Fackrell at your earliest opportunity. We are looking forward to a busy season ahead and hope you can join us in our club affiliation session on Thursday 9th August.
