The firsts travelled to Mach, for want was becoming a regular fixture for the League cup.
The Mule lead at the break with goal machine Dave Anthony slotting home a penalty.
With only 7 minutes remaining, Mach capitalised on a poor throw in to score and with only seconds remaining the ref awarded Mach a penalty which was duly converted to send Mule out the cup at the 2nd round stage.
In the reserve dingle derby, Kerry lead at the interval with a converted penalty, for which centre back James Jandrell was luck to still be on the pitch. Within monments of the re-start, Phil Ryle struck past the out rushing keeper.
The game remained very even until a quick doulbe salvo from Kerry looked to have finished the contest. With 8 minutes to go, Sub Tom Andrew scored from 2 yards out to reduce the arrears. Plenty of late pressure was not able to bring an equaliser and we lost 3-2/
