Abertillery welcomed Pontllanfriath to the park on a hot summer’s day. Abertillery were put in to bat and Mark Seymour and Tom Bradley started well 60 off the first 7 overs. A couple of wickets in the middle overs slowed Abertillery down but Tom Bradley kept the rate going. Lewis Wallace then blasted 42 in quick succession giving Abertillery a great finish to get Maximum Batting Points. Abertillery finished on 151-7 off their 20 overs.

Pontllanfraith started their innings with great impetus hitting many quick fire boundaries. Rhys James then showed great fight to drag the run rate back. Daffydd Myson then bowled great lines and lengths applying pressure to the batsmen. Pont lost wickets at regular intervals during their innings not forming many partnerships. Abertillery then brought on Corey Wallace who took 2 quick wickets to end Pontllanfraith chances of winning the game. Abertillery won by 42 runs.
