Please note that Pitch 4 (floodlit pitch) is going to have a considerable amount of maintenance work done to it also Pitches 1 and 2 will have work carried out to them. Coaches please ensure no training is carried out on these pitches until further notice. Pitch 3 (bottom pitch) and the small pitch behind the clubhouse plus all the surronding areas and training area are available for training.
Pitch maintainance should have been started when the season finished not 7 or so weeks before the season starts?
Hi Stephen, Ideally the maintenance should have started immediately after the season finished. The university have agreed to do the necessary maintenance , but there is the small matter of finding the £5,000 to do the work.[The club hasn't got it!]
The contract has then to be agreed and let. We are assured that the grass will be through before we start to use pitches 1 and 2 in September. I would like us to keep off pitch 4 for as long as possible. Perhaps not so straight forward eh? Phil Taylor
