Acklam are in cup action this week when they entertain Leeds side Roundhegians, who play in Yorkshire 2 , in the first round of the Yorkshire Silver Trophy. Cup runs in the Silver Trophy played a big part in Acklam's early history - after being losing semi finalists in the club's first three years they eventually won the competition in the 1979 - 80 season.
Skipper Ben Pearson is rested on the bench so Ben Snaith steps up to deputise at hooker.
