Match Preview

Today Acklam extend a warm welcome to todays opponents Hartlepool Rovers, I am sure Acklam will be hoping for a repeat of the reverse fixture several months ago at the New Friarage when we ran out winners by 43 points to 17. Since then Rovers have improved considerably and currently sit mid table. Acklam on the other hand have been finding the going tough in D&N 1 and are currently at the wrong end of the table. There has been a bit of a reshuffle in selection as the coaches try to find the right blend, and two or three players have been rotated to give them more “game time”, so we are hoping for a positive result today. Away from the 1st team our Talbots are in Candy League action at Hartlepool Old Boys, and the Hustlers are at Middlesbrough. I hope that all the players and supporters enjoy a pleasant afternoon of rugby and convivial chat over a few pints “putting the world to rights”.
