A brief look at this weeks games involving the First, Reserve and Ladies sides

First Team
Last Saturday saw Acle come away from Spixworth with a point, although the team will feel aggrieved that the equaliser by Spixworth, was scored after over ten minutes of added time had been added by the referee.

This weekend, the team have a home game against basement side Cromer Town. Kick-off is 2pm. The Crabs are yet to pick up a point from their eight league games played and have conceded an average of 4.5 goals per game. In the corresponding fixture last season, Acle put seven past Cromer without reply and will be looking to another comfortable victory.

Reserves
The Reserves were brought down to earth after a three game winning run when they were defeated 6-1 by Watton United on Saturday. Although the result flattered the visitors, their second-half performance led to a deserved victory.

A trip to Hempnall is in store for the team this Saturday, with a 2pm kick-off. The hosts who were relegated last season are bottom of the table with just one point from six league games played, which came from their opening game against Blofield United Reserves.

Ladies
The Ladies have had two weeks of inactivity due to Toftwood forfeiting their County Cup game and last week's home game against Royston being postponed due to the showers not working at Bridewell Lane.

This Sunday, the team travel to sixth place Writtle for a league fixture, happy they will get a game under their belts before the Women's FA Cup game against Brentwood in a fortnights time. Kick-off is 2pm. With Great Wakering folding, unless there is a change in the fixtures the Ladies will be without a game next week, in the run up to the cup game
