The Young Rams go head to head with Sutton United u18 this evening in the Final of the Surrey FA Midweek Floodlit Youth Cup Final.

Sutton United u18 will be the toughest test yet for the Young Rams. They are currently top of the Ryman Youth League having lost just once in the league this season. That defeat, however, came at the hands of Metropolitan Police u18s who the Young Rams had to beat to reach the Final. They are on a run of 4 victories in a row since that loss.

In this competition they started with a victory over Chessington & Hook 7-0 and followed this up with 4-1 victory over Corinthian-Casuals. In the Semi-Final they beat Raynes Park Vale 3-0.

Like Sutton, Dean Ennor's Young Rams were given a bye in the first round before overcoming South Park 6-3 in the 2nd. They beat Carshalton Athletic on penalties after a 2-2 draw and then secured an extra time win over Metropolitan Police in the Semi-Finals to secure their place in the Final.

In the Southern Youth League the Young Rams sit in 3rd place, a point behind South Park with 4 games in hand and 4 points behind leaders Loxwood with 2 games in hand. A busy April will see whether they can overtake those teams with their games in hand.

Tonight's match is at Molesey FC. From Croydon head toward the A3 and then head south. After the Hook underpass exit the main road onto the Kingston Bypass and follow this road until you reach the Marquis of Granby roundabout and then follow the A309. At the next roundabout turn left onto Embercourt Road and at the end turn right onto Ember Lane. Follow this road which will change into Esher Lane and at the next roundabout turn left onto Walton Road and then follow this road until you reach Mole Play where you will find the ground.

The matchday weather is expected to be dry although overcast with temperatures staying around 10 degrees and a light and mild westerly breeze which sounds like near perfect conditions.

The match gets underway at 7.30pm.
