After a two week break the Rams resume their league campaign with a trip to Rochester United looking to bring back 3 points.

Rochester United sit in 9th place, 3 place and 10 points behind the Rams having played 1 game less. Similarly they haven't played for 2 weeks after a midweek League Cup match was postponed due to a frozen pitch. They have had mixed league form having secured some good victories on their travels over both Croydon and Cray Valley PM but have suffered some heavy defeats at home with their last home game being a heavy defeat to Ashford United. Their last game was a victory over Beckenham Town.

The enforced break has given the chance for some knocks to heal but having lost their last game it has been a long time to get back to winning ways. Kevin Rayner has been looking to further strengthen the squad and hopes to have some new signings in the running for tomorrow's game.

If coming by car leave Croydon and head to the M25 toward Dartford. Join the M26 and then M20 before leaving at Junction 4. Head toward Rochester and Chatham on the A228. Cross the M2 and when you reach the A2 turn left. The ground is around half a mile on the right. If travelling by train the nearest station is Strood.

The recent freeze may well have past although it remains cold. Temperatures are forecast to rise to a relatively balmy 8 degrees for matchday and there should be plenty of sunshine too. The easterly breeze may make it feel a degree or two colder.

There will be an empty seat on the coach this Saturday, however. A minutes silence will be held before kick-off in memory of JJ.
