The second game of three at Mayfield Stadium sees the visit of Lordswood on Saturday as the Rams looked to extend their run.

Lordswood started their season in the league well and won their opening two games followed by a draw that put them top of the early league table. But one win and three losses later they are now in 9th place. They will be looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat at home to Ashford United last Tuesday night and they look to get their season back on track.

A fifth win in a row returned AFC Croydon Athletic to top spot on Wednesday night and Kevin Rayner’s team will be keen to extend that further with two successive home games to come. They will certainly want to put right last season’s corresponding fixture that finished with the visitors winning by the odd goal in 3.

The return fixture at Lordswood is like last year, the final game of the season. It is also the second visit in three days of a Lordswood team as their U18s played in a tight game in the FA Youth Cup which finished 0-0 after two hours only for the visitors to win the penalty shoot-out 3-2.

It looks set to be sunshine and showers for matchday tomorrow. Temperatures will rise to the high teens but the rain will not be far away throughout the afternoon.

Just four league games tomorrow with second placed Ashford United visiting Corinthian, Canterbury City hosting 5th placed Hollands & Blair and Fisher welcoming Sheppey United. The rest of the league are involved in FA Vase 1st Qualifying Round action and our good wishes goes to them. We may also find out who we are going to play in the 2nd Qualifying Round as Eastbourne United take on Guildford City tomorrow too.
