The sprouts will already be boiling on the stove ready for Christmas Day but at Mayfield Stadium there is an exciting clash between 3rd and 2nd.

Worcester Park make the journey to Thornton Health sitting in second place at the halfway stage having played 15 games. They are undefeated in their last 5 games in the league and were good winners over the Rams back in August by 3-1. Their 41 goals in those 15 games makes them the Division’s leading scorers too.

The Rams are back to league action after a break of 3 weeks following a London Senior Trophy win and a postponement at Dorking last weekend. The team will be keen to extend their winning sequence and to leapfrog Worcester Park into the top two. Nathaniel Jones is still suspended but otherwise Antony Williams expects to pick from a full strength squad.

We may see some sun on matchday with high cloud breaking that up and ensuring the temperatures remain around 8 degrees. A westerly breeze will make it feel around 4 degrees so wrap up warm! We are not expecting any rain between now and then.

There is almost a full set of games scheduled with the top six clubs all in action. Farleigh Rovers, whose lead is now 9 points, travel to play Dorking with fourth placed Ash United making the short journey to take on Eversley & California. Banstead Athletic entertain Chessington & Hook United whilst Bedfont & Feltham travel to Epsom Athletic. Elsewhere, Alton Town take on Sandhurst Town and CB Hounslow United play Sheerwater.

This is the first of two games against the top two sides in the Division so it promises to be an interesting Christmas period and worth getting down to support the Rams.
