AFC Croydon Athletic try again as they head to Club Langley FC on Saturday in the London Senior Trophy Quarter-Final.

After the last game was postponed all the fingers are crossed for what would be the first time that the two sides have faced each other as the Rams make the short journey to Hawksbrook Lane in Beckenham for the game.

Club Langley FC play in the Kent County Football League and are currently sitting in 5th place in Division Three West. They are on a good run of form having lost just once in their last six outings and that was a narrow defeat to runaway league leaders Johnson & Phillips. In that run of games they also secured an excellent 2-0 defeat of South Kilburn FC, which we know from past encounters is always a difficult place to go. Their last game was a 3-0 win over Orpington Reserves.

An eye will need to be kept on top scorer Richard Aidoo who has banged in 11 goals in both league and cup as well Gabriel Braimah whose 10 goals have all come in the league. Last time out they beat Orpington Reserves 3-0 to see them through to the Semi-Final of the West Kent Challenge Shield with Aidoo banging in 2 goals.

The Rams will be looking to bounce back from the 1-3 defeat at the hands of Bedfont & Feltham, their first defeat of the year. The next two league games will see them take on 2 sides who are promotion rivals Manager Antony Williams will want to make sure he has a fully fit side for those encounters and may choose to rest those carrying knocks for this London Senior Trophy tie. However, winning is a good habit and will be looking to get back to winning ways.

Some rain is forecast early on matchday morning and it should remain overcast but temperatures are expected to rise to around 6 degrees. A northerly breeze should make it feel somewhat colder.

Elsewhere in the Combined Counties League we will see Farleigh Rovers travel to Cobham and Worcester Park play host to Sheerwater. Bedfont & Feltham are at home to Alton Town and CB Hounslow United make the journey to Sandhurst Town. Dorking host Ash United, Eversley & California entertain Staines Lammas whilst it is tenants v landlords as Epsom Athletic play Chessington & Hook at Chalky Lane.

Those coming to watch the Rams have only a short journey to make. Take the A222 Long Lane/Croydon Road out of Croydon and then turn right at Elmers End Green onto Upper Elmers End Road. Keep left before the Esso Garage staying on Upper Elmers End Road until the end and a quick right and left turn will take you into Hawksbrook Lane. Remember the game kicks off at 1.30pm and the game is played to a finish.
