It is back to league action tomorrow as the Rams welcome Dorking FC to Mayfield Stadium for the first of five crucial league games.

The loss at Epsom Athletic saw back to back defeats and Manager Antony Williams will be keen that the players focus on turning that around as we head into the real business end of the season. He will be keen to see a repeat of the convincing win over The Chicks just a couple of weeks ago.

Dorking have had a difficult season but are very much in rebuilding mode. They certainly can’t be taken lightly and have had good wins over both Cobham and got a draw at Eversley & California last Saturday. However, in midweek they suffered a defeat at bottom club Sandhurst Town.

Williams will likely make several changes to the side that lost narrowly at Epsom Athletic last Wednesday. Jordan Martin, Dan Burnett, Danny Cumber and Chris Head are four players expected to come straight back into the side having been unavailable or rested for the last game. He has also been looking to strengthen the squad ahead of the transfer deadline early next week. With just five league games to go he knows that we have five cup finals and he will be looking for maximum points.

Temperatures will easily get up into double figures rising to around 12 degrees. There will be a stiff south-westerly breeze that will blow away the heavy clouds. There could be some rain around midday but this should be all gone well before kick-off and may help to soften the pitch a little.

There is nearly a full programme with only CB Hounslow United actually having a Saturday off as Sandhurst Town have now completed all their fixtures this season. Farleigh Rovers make the long journey to play 8th placed Eversley & California; whilst third placed Bedfont & Feltham entertain Ash United against whom they drew last Saturday. Worcester Park have a home tie against Alton Town; Staines Lammas make the journey to take on Cobham and Chessington & Hook United who are on a run of 4 wins having only conceded 1 goal in that time, travel to Merland Rise to play Banstead Athletic. The final game is Epsom Athletic against Sheerwater.
