Over the summer the Club engaged a contractor to ready the pitch for the new season. Unfortunately this work has not done what was expected and the pitch remains unplayable. A new contractor has been engaged and work begins on Friday to put it right but it will take a few weeks yet.

This is a blow as we had hoped to see football again at Mayfield Road but we will only have to wait a few weeks longer. We have liaised with the League and FA and work is being done to adjust our fixtures to accommodate these short term difficulties.

In the first instance, if the match at Erith & Belvedere in the FA Cup ends in a draw then the replay will be on Wednesday 20th August at Colliers Wood United. Our thanks go to them for their help. Other changes to our fixtures will be announced this weekend.

Apart from the pitch the rest of the stadium is taking shape and being tidied up again. The Clubhouse is finished apart from the snagging and will formally reopen very soon..
