News from the club AGM held last night.

Members of AFC Emley have voted Nigel Wakefield in as the club's new President. Nigel takes over from Ian Stevenson following last night's AGM.

Also at the meeting, ticket prices for next season were confirmed at £4.50 for adults, £2.50 for concessions and Under 14s for £1.

Members were also told about a new 'free tickets for schools' scheme that will be up and running for the new season - thanks to the generous support of the Emley Voices village magazine. More details will be announced in a few weeks.

Both Chairman Terry Higgins and Treasurer Ian Steele highlighted the financial challenge Emley face. There has been some success but the club is still looking for a main sponsor.

The committee also appealed for match day volunteers to cover the bar and tea hut, where the club could be making more profit. More details here.
