Fans needed more than ever as Emley's promotion push will go to wire.

AFC Emley have high hopes of gaining promotion to the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division automatically, but we need your support more than ever for our final three league games.

Pewits fans took over Park Road in yesterday's 5-0 win against Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, where the Briggers recorded their highest home attendance of the season. 120 watched the game in the beautiful weather - 63 was Worsbrough's previous home attendance record.

That record was broken just a week after Emley notched three consecutive home games with the highest attendance across both Northern Counties East Leagues.

Manager Darren Hepworth has continually hailed Emley's loyal supporters, who have travelled across the north of England in healthy numbers throughout the season, which he believes to be an attributing factor to the Pewits' success.

After the 0-0 draw with fellow promotion rivals Hall Road Rangers at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground in February, Hepworth said it was "incredible to get north of 200 fans when Huddersfield Town faced Manchester City in the FA Cup."

Currently 3rd placed Hall Road and 2nd placed Pontefract Collieries can move above Emley if they win their games in hand.

But the onus remains on Hepworth's men to win their final three games to keep hopes of automatic promotion in sight, which is why your support is essential.

Emley will look to make it eight unbeaten in the league on Saturday at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground when they play host to 16th placed Shirebrook Town.

The game will be supporting Prostate Cancer Awareness, and donations will be able to be made during the pre-match collection.

The players will be warming up in Prostate Cancer UK shirts instead of their routine training-wear attire.

Head of Development Patrick Piearcey, Hepworth, Committee Member Ian Mason and Dugout Diner volunteer Jo Hurley will be taking part in cycle rides to raise funds for research into Prostate Cancer.

Following next week's game against Shirebrook, Emley travel to face Selby Town on Saturday 8th April before ending the season at home to Glasshoughton Welfare.

Now is your time to play a major role in Emley's bid to finally make it to the Premier Division.
