Wins all round for Emley's three sides as well as a league title!

The under 19’s clinched the Northern Alliance West Division title in style after thrashing Thackley 11-0 on Thursday night. Ruben Jerome picked up four goals - a total of seven over the two legs against the Dennyboy’s. Ben Harrison and Matty Crookes picked up braces to add the drumming which also included goals from Tom Dunne, Connor Tuff, and Sylbert Stewart.

Richard Spychalski’s men lost just one game from their 12 fixtures where they went unbeaten at home and scored 65 goals. However, the season is not over for the side yet as they prepare to take on Gainsborough Trinity in the Pat Rice Trophy final on the 27th April.

Emley’s first team picked up their fifth consecutive win away from home after beating Pontefract Collieries 3-1. Ruben Jerome picked up another goal along with Max Leonard and Steven Kenworthy. This win puts Emley 8th in the table with just one game to go this Saturday at home to Shirebrook Town.

The Development team also picked up a win on Thursday against Garforth Town. Niall Simpson scored the only goal of the game which secured a top three finish in the East Lancashire League with two games left to go and hopes of snatching the top spot still alive.
Yesterday, the club paid tribute to former Captain, Richard Hirst, who passed away in December with a match featuring past and current players as well as several members of the coaching staff.
