Three Peaks fundraiser for stand refit

1 month ago By Andrew Painten

Friends of Richard Hirst take on the challenge of the Yorkshire Three Peaks to help renovate the stand named in his honour.

Richard Hirst passed away in 2013. He spent most of his footballing career playing for Emley - eventually captaining AFC Emley. Hirsty was a fan favourite and his larger than life character is testament to why he is still fondly remembered by all at the club today.

In 2016 the club christened the shed end stand in his memory. Now friends of Hirsty are tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on Saturday 20th May to keep his memory alive and raise money towards the redevelopment of the Richard Hirst Stand.

Those taking part include Aaron Dennis, Ray Dennis, Jamie Bramald, Nicky Bramald, Danielle Bramald, Rory Scanlon, John Mason, Ian Mason, Chris Mason, Joanna Dickens, Chris Prasher, Mark Firth, John Senior, Mark Harris and Michael Holstead.

Please sponsor them to raise as much money as possible towards this project - we are hoping to complete the work over the summer. Click here to donate online.
