A poor performance saw the Brook lose 2-0 at Guildford
A lackadaisical performance saw the Brook lose at Guildford
With the 1st 25 minutes being very equal, although Guildford looked sharper up front the game needed a goal, unfotunately for the Brook it came from the home side.
In 32nd minute Guildford attacked, the Brook had an opportunity to clear but a very poor tackle by Silah, who just waved his foot at the ball saw the referee award a penalty.Lyle took the kick & fired past Kennedy.1-0
Almost immediately the Brook were provided with an opportunity to equalize.A mistake by the Guildford defence saw Sekani McCalmon given a 1 on 1 opportunity to score. However his effort was very weak & he shot past the post.
2 minutes later a Sam Sillah shot was turned round the post for a corner which was easily cleared.HT 1-0
Unfortunately for the Brook the 2nd half didn't get much better as Guildford looked the more likely to increase their lead,This they din when in the 50th minute the referee awarded them a 2nd penalty which no-one from either side had any idea what it was for.Again Lyle stepped up to score making it 2-0
After this further set back it must be said that the Brook's confidence was completely shot but to their credit they fought to deny Guildford any further goals.FT 2-0
