Brook earn deserved win at 6th placed Camberley Town.
3 goals that would have graced a higher level saw the Brook return from Camberley with a well deserved 3 points.
Following a run of poor results & performances the Brook returned from 6th placed Camberley with a well earned victory.
After the fight back from 2-0 down against Spelthorne Sports the previous Tuesday the Bokk were clearly in a more determined mood & right from the start of the match they looked a different team. Both sides started at a high tempo with the Brook's wide players Quadry & Rabess taking every opportunity to attack down the flanks. With McCalmon & Ahmadi working hard up front & James Charles working tirelessly in the centre of midfield the Brook looked a different side.
Camberley were also pushing forward & the visitors defence were hard pressed to keep them at bay but it was the Brook who had the 1st scoring opportunity on 29 minutes when Josh Quadry put in a good cross from the left which McCalmon headed just over the bar.
But in the 35th minute the Brook breached the Krooners defence,a superb 20 yard run by Mohammed Ahmadi right through the centr saw him play a perfect pass into the path of Rhys Rabess who shrugged off a defender & as the home keeper Norman advanced he fired a shot over the keeper into the roof of the net.1-0
Camberley's response was almost instantaneous as they looked for an equalizer but Haskell's shot hit the post & rebounded to safety.H-T 0-1
The 2nd half was almost a mirror image of the 1st as both sides continued to attack but again it was the Brook who increased their lead in the 67th minute when Rabess attacked down the left, cut inside & played the ball into Mitchell Findlay on the corner of the area.He hit a powerful shot that curled into the right han side of the goal giving Norman no chance.2-0
Camberley weren't in 6th place for nothing & the Brook's 2nd goal saw them redouble their efforts to get back into the match & it took a fine save from Cameron Kennedy to keep the 2 goal advantage, the ensuing corner was well cleared.
The home sides pressure finally told in the 80th minute as Camberley substitute reduced the areas beating Kennedy from close range to set up a nail biting finish for the Brook.1-2
Replacing Mohammed Ahmadi in the 83rd minute with Harry Carter the Brook although put under a lot of pressure were defending well & were breaking forward when able.
The Brook's reward came as the game moved into time added on 90+2 as a long ball found Sekani McCalmon on the left who ran at the advancing keeper & fired a superb shot past him to make it 3-1 & seal the game.
After some pretty poor performances over recent weeks which has seen the Brook teeter on the edge of the relegation places hopefully the 3 points earned today added to the point gained last Tuesday will instill confidence in the team for the difficult games to come.
