Brook crash to league leaders
Despite taking an early lead conceded 6 goals to Westfield.
The Brook match against league leaders started well but unfortunately an inability to take chances & poor defensive work saw the Brook crumble to defeat.
The Brook immediately started the match on the front foot as they denied Westfield opportunities to get out of their half & were rewarded in the 6th minute when Home keeper Ross played the ball out to Sullivan who was immediately put under pressure by Mourad Jarraz,Sullivban's attempt to pass back to the keeper was ill-directed & to hard with the result the ball shot past Ross into the net.0-1
On 11 minutes Jarraz robbed a defender & took the ball along the front edge of the area where he managed a shot from20 yards but unfortunately went over the bar.
10 minutes later Jarraz was through 1 on 1 with Ross & a second goal was beckoning, unfortunately he hesitated & Ross came out & narrowed the angle & saved the shot.
By now Westfield were beginning to get into their stride & in the 29th minute Cameron Kennedy was forced to tip a shot over the bar.and the equaliser5 wasn't to far away.On 30 mins Adam Bellmaine was put through on goal & shot past Kennedy for the equalizer.1-1
On 35 minutes Westfield were in front as Max Blackmore scored & in the 43rd minute Jamie Byatt added the 3rd.H-T 3-1
The 2nd half continued as the 1st ended with Westfield in the ascendance & although the Brook worked hard i9t was only a matter of time before they increased their lead & so it proved as in the 55th minute Max Blackmore scored his 2nd goal & Westfields 4th & 5 minutes later he completed his hatrick & Westfields 5th.
Aaron Watson completed the scoring in the73rd minute when adding the 6th.
The Brook continued to work hard but Westfield proved they were the stronger side & the game finished 6-1
