Poor 2nd Half performance see Brook lost at home to Southall
After a promising 1st half the Brook, for the 2nd match running, faded away allowing Sothall to take all 3 points.
The Brook should have been a goal up in the 6th minute when a fine through pass from Jack Roper found Sekani McCalmon 1 on 1with the Southall keeper,Mullane, who saved McCalmons effort.
The Brook were playing well & dominating possession with only a goal required to cap their early performance. But,although they were creating opportunities the final finish was missing.
On 28 minutes another Roper through ball found McCalmon in space but his hurried shot flew well over the visitors goal.
At the back the new partnership of Charlie Cahill & debutant Harry Frost were comfortably dealing with the rare threats from the Southall attack but the Brook were looking toothless in attack.H-T 0-0
Obviously some hard words were exchanged in the Southall dressing room at half-time as it was a more determined & positive side who came out for the 2nd half.
Unfortunately for the Brook the saying ,you need to score when you're on top, rang true as in the 54th minute it was the visitors who opened the scoring when the Brook conceded a needless free kick out near the left touchline & from the resultant free kick the Brook failed to clear allowing Connor Spinks to shoot past Bramwell.0-1
It was now Southall having the majority of the possession as the Brook's midfield.for the 2nd game running, faded out of the game.and in the 78th minute they increased their lead through Ismael Ehui 0-2
The Brook immediately made 2 substitutions replacing Sillah & Quadry with Nat Davis & Marselle Bascombe.
With 2 minutes remaining the Brook should have scored when Omar Hassan made a fine run down the left, put in a low cross which was met by Nat Davis who slid the ball past the far post with Mullane in the visitors goal well beaten.F-T 0-2
