Brook lose at home to Badshot Lea.
The Brook curse of not scoring & giving away simple goals struck again on Saturday against Badshot Lea
Our problems started in the 10th minute when a miskick in centre of our defence allowed Badshot Lea a shooting opportunity but Josh Bramwell saved well.
On 13 minutes the Referee made the first of his many wrong decisions when he awarded the visitors a penalty but Josh Bramwell made a fine save from the kick.
However the missed penalty only delayed the inevitable & on 26 mins Jack May opened the scoring for Badshot Lea 0-1
The Brook were working hard to get back into the game but once again the lack of a goalscorer was obvious.
On 41 minutes the Brook fell further behind as Jack May scored his 2nd of the game.
This goal spurred the Brook on & as the half was drawing to a close they were putting the visiting defence under pressure and were rewarded in the 46th minute when Jack Roper hit a superb shot into the top left hand corner of the goal from 24 yards.H-T 1-2
With the confidence of a goal the Brook started the 2nd half keeping possession & forcing Badshot Lea to defend & were unlucky not to equalize in the 65th minute when an Adam Mohammed free kick was saved by Jordan Clement in the visitors goal.
On 72 minutes Nat Mensah was replaced by Hamza Miezou & it wasn't long before he was testing Clement as in the 75th minute he fired in a shot that Clement did well to save.
As happens so often in football the team chasing the game regularly concedes a goal & the Brook were no different. On 93 minutes the Brook lost the ball which was played forward finding Lea's substitute Darren Blake unmarked & as he controlled the ball he then lobbed the advancing Bramwell to make the final score 1-3.
