Brook earn 1st home win of season & climb off bottom of the table.
An excellent performance saw the Brook move off the bottom of thetable by beating Colliers Wood 4-1.
2 goals from Man of the Match Victor Montes and a goal apiece from Ronnel Dennis & Lusungu Ndvoi capped an excellent all round performance for the Brook on Saturday against a good Colliers Wood side who have had a solid start to the season.
With last seasons keeper Cameron Kennedy stepping into the team to replace this seasons keeper Josh Bramwell who was on holiday he must have wondered what he had let himself in for as within 2 minutes of the kick off Cameron was picking the ball out of the net as Colliers Wood's Michael Fahm caught the Brook's defence cold.He received a fine through pass that split the home defence & lobbed Kennedy as he tried to close Fahm down but the finish was perfect & the Brook found themselves a goal down on 2 minutes.
The Brook immediately hit back as from the restart Harry Carter found an opening but his shot was well saved by Fallon in the visitors goal. The Brook continued to press for an equalizer & on 11 minutes a dangerous cross from Victor Montes was scrambled for a corner which was eventually comfortably cleared by the visiting defence.
On 15 minutes the equalizer finally arrived as Victor Montes made a good run down the right wing, cut in & pulled his cross back into the path of Ronnel Dennis who calmly shot past Fallon from yards.1-1
Both sides were playing some good football & were pressing for the next goal especially Colliers Wood's Michael Fahm who was causing the home defence lots of problems with his movement & strong runs.
On 30 minutes the Brook conceded a penalty when Fahm was brought down by Omar Hassan as he once gain drove into the box,The penalty kick was taken by the visitors Daniel Campion but Cameron Kennedy diving to his right made a fine save.
With both sides continuing to press but with no real end product the half-time whistle ended the half all square at 1-1.
if the final few minutes of the 1st half were slow the 2nd half exploded into action as in the 47th minute the Brook took the lead when LUSUNGU NDVOI made a powerful run into the box before shooting past Fallon into the bottom left hand corner.2-1
On 53 minutes Jack Roper played a wonderful ball to Victor Montes who shot past Fallon to make it 3-1
The Brook were now in the ascendancy & increased their lead in the 62nd minute when Victor Montes made a powerful run down the right & from a narrow angle shot past Falon for his 2nd goal & the Brook's 4th
The Brook continued to look to add to their goal tally when in the 77th minute substitute Sekani McCalmon was put through on goal but his shot went wide.
To their credit Colliers Wood never gave up & Kennedy in the home goal had to be alert when the ever dangerous Fahm fired in a shot which he did well to save.
The final 10 minbutes saw the Brook manage the game & when the whistle went for full time it was affine performance to start the long road to safety.
