AFC Keynsham Folds

9 months ago By Chris Bessex

The Mighty K's have played their last game.

18 years after Greg Turner took control of the Charles Saunders Frozen Fish company football team a lack of interest and commitment has resulted in the club closing its doors.

The K's have had to abandon their last 3 fixtures, as well as playing the two before with less than 11 men, the resulting collapse has seen Turner concede its not worth carrying on trying to provide football for a group of about 5 super keen Keynsham players.

Its not all doom and gloom as AFCK's loyal few have been transferred over to Josh Evan's Spartans FC, in the hope that the core of the squad can remain together and continue to play football.

The club would like to thank anyone that ever supported, played, sponsored, or took interest in our band of misfits, with a special mention for the New Inn Pub at the top Keynsham, that has provided us with shelter and sausage sandwiches for the last 9 years.

Carm it down.
