Patchy leads team at Whitchurch Sports Centre

AFC Keynsham have entered a side in to Whitchurch Sports Centre's five a side league for the Spring season with Chris Patch and Ross Edwards running the side.

Tuesday evening games will take place in the BS14's converted airport hanger upon their new 3G Astroturf pitches. The games will prove an intense work out for players with no stoppages for almost anything in the 20 minute halves.

K's were soundly thrashed in their debut game by a team captained by former Bristol City star David Seal. A lot of rule adjustment and a rope cage a fraction of the size of a standard five a side court will take some getting used to.

Chris Patch led Ross Edwards, Dan Cardy, Ash Allen, Chris Bessex, and Jay Williams in to the game, and though there was clearly a gulf in class between K's and their opponents as the game went on Keynsham became stronger… giving hope for next week.
