AFC Keynsham ran the first half of a game that saw chances for both sides and were lucky to come in at half time tied.

The deadlock was broken when Danny Cardy hoisted a huge "Gary Owen" style clearance from end to end and the Coupland keeper spilled it. Ben Jefferies had two bites of the cherry but managed to get the ball in the net in the end.

Coupland came straight back and won a corner, the resulting cross saw a free header on the penalty spot hooked up off the line by Jay Williams.

Shortly after the points looked safe when Chris "Face" Freedman drew a few tackles in the box before he was chopped down and the ref awarded a spot kick.

Chris Patch stepped forward and smashed the ball dead centre just under the bar in probably the best example of an unsaveable shot you will ever see for two nil.

Sadly Keynsham fell in to the old routine of backing off and assuming the job was done. Coupland got back in to the game form a long throw that was missed by everyone at the front post allowing a forward to sneak in and notch a tap in.

Coupland’s tails were up and they pinned Keynsham back for the last 15 minutes and eventually equalised when K's failed to clear a few times and the ball broke to the edge of the box, where it was spanked back in to the top corner.

K's nearly took all the points when Danny Cardy ran the ball out of defence hurdling a few challenges and picked out the returning Martin Withey with a dinked pass but the keeper met the forward and blocked the chance wide.

A draw probably a fair result but the manner of the surrender will worry Turner.

Chris Patch was named man of the match for a masterful display on the ball.
