AFC Kirk Hallam under 11's are continuing their rapid rise to prominence following a joint top finish with Beaufort United in winter division 3 red in the Saturday leagues in the Young Elizabethan League.

The division championship will be decided on the 16th of December away at Beaufort, which should be a very close game following the 4-3 defeat at home in September. It must be said that the match was played in fantastic spirit at the time and both the teams, management and parents behaved impeccably. We hope for more of the same in the return match. Both the winner and runner up of this match will be attending a presentation day at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham in January and will receive a trophy or a medal no mater the result on the 16th.

Either way, both teams have been promoted to the spring division 2 after Christmas. This will see a new, more difficult challenge in what is the YEL Saturday Leagues next to top division.

Since the team has been together, this is the second piece of silverware, following the Sherwood Colliery tournament victory in the summer.
