100 days/10000 actions. Do something for your football club!

By Mike Sheridan, Thursday January 19

With 8 home games over 100 days remaining of this season, AFC Telford United are launching a range of supporter initiatives. Get involved!

With 8 home games over 100 days remaining of this season, AFC Telford United are launching a range of supporter initiatives aimed at ensuring the preservation of our Blue Square Premier status, and growing the football club in 2012/13.

The campaign kicks off with the 100 days/10000 actions initiative, where the club are asking each of the club's regular 2000 fan base to do just one extra thing at every home game to support the club, adding up to ten thousand positive actions by supporters between now and the end of the season.

"It's about getting involved with your football club, and getting back to the spirit of involvement which spurred our success and makes AFC Telford United a special football club." commented club chairman Lee Carter.

"As a fan owned football club, our greatest asset has always been the hard work, enthusiasm and creativity of our wonderful supporters, and we need them now more than ever." he continued.

"What we've achieved over the past 7 years has been fantastic, but it's about what we do in future from now on. We're asking for everyone to do something small to help keep us in the Premier this season - whether that's buying a programme, a pint in the bar before the game or coming down and volunteering to sweep the stadium after games. You'd be amazed at what a difference those small things can make when multiplied over the scale of our fan base."

The club have published a range of suggestions to get the ball rolling, such as:

Attend all 8 games between now and the end of the season
Bring a friend along to watch AFC Telford
Pick up a programme before the game
Buy someone a present from the club shop
Buy an extra pint, cup of tea or pie
Buy an extra 50/50 ticket
Text a Man of the Match vote
Join the Trust, make a donation or take out a standing order Help sweep the stadium
Put up a Match poster in a local shop or Pub
Speak to a local school or business about getting involved in the club
Join the Club Facebook page or Twitter feed

These are our suggestions, but the only limit is your imagination! All we ask is that whatever you're doing to help the club, let us know via our website, Facebook or Twitter pages and we'll put the best suggestions out so everyone can join in.
