1st team start the season strongly

The V's are glad to announce a strong start for the season for the womens first team, under the guidance of Ross Waddington. Currently in second spot, in the South East Counties West division 1, we have a determined squad of players with some real quality in key positions. Playing their matches at Withdean Stadium has given the ladies the platform they deserve to develop their skills and they have reacted well by putting in some solid performances ,including last week's 2-1 home win against Carlshalton Athletic in the league. A notable 2-1 win away at Burgess Hill earlier in the season has seen them climb to second place.

The ladies development squad is developing well under manger Andy Flint, who has some talented youngsters playing in open age football in the Sussex County league. Despite not winning a game they are begining to gel and with a home match this Sunday v Horsham at the Withdean, hopefully three points will not be far away.
