V's win 3-1 at home
A game of two halves
Unfortunately I couldn't make the game this week. Well when I say couldn't make it i decided to go to West Ham v Spurs which proved to be the wrong decision as my hammers lost 1-0. The best part of the day was my brother finding a £50 note of the floor. My phone was doing overtime as I was being kept up with events at Withdean which concluded with a 3-1 win after the proverbial game of two halves.
Evidently first half we were not at our best and Billingshurst deserved to go in 1-1. Matt Waterman who continues his impressive goalscoring start to the season finished clinically after a defence splitting pass from Scott Packer. The V's huffed and puffed and were playing indifferently and allowed Billingshurst back into the game with some poor defending.
Kev had words at half time and it was a V's team with a more positive attitude both mentally and physically that played the second half. This resulted in a couple of scrappy goals from Andy Pearson and Joe Keehan giving us the three points and a 3-1 victory.
The last two games have seen us win, while not playing at our best, and we will certainly need to up our game with our next match against an inform Steyning which should provide a sterner test.
