Academy squads produce impressive displays in weekend fixtures.

Saturday saw us welcome Bangor City, to The Hollingsworth Group Stadium for foundation phase fixtures. There were some impressive displays that saw the U9 and U11 come away with victories and there were defeats for the U8 and U10.

Gareth Richards' U18 squad were aiming to bounce back following last weeks defeat at Flint, and they did just that win a resounding win over Dyserth.

The U14 were also in action on saturday as they made the journey to MPJL club Stafford Rangers. The squad continued their impressive recent form as they came away with a comprehensive 6-1 win over the hosts.

Sunday proved to be another busy day, as we welcomed Football League club Tranmere Rovers to Broughton for the second set of fixtures between the sides.

All of the games against the wirral club were extremely competitive with the U12 recording the sole victory for Airbus, meanwhile the U15 and U16 went down to narrow defeats against the Football League club. We would like to thank Tranmere for travelling to us for these fixtures and we hope that the arrangement will continue into next season.

The final game of the weekend saw the U14 back in action as they welcomed Neston Nomads back to The Hollingsworth Group Stadium. The game was entertaining, but the young wingmakers had the extra quality in the final third and came away comfortable 3-0 winners.
