Futsal programme a massive succes for Airbus
Airbus one of the leading lights in Futsal Festival.
Last Sunday Airbus Academy travelled to Deeside Leisure Centre at U12, U14 and U16 to take part in the first Futsal Festival of 2011/12.
The Under 16 stormed to a near perfect record as one side lost only one game, while our other 16's squad lost only twice on the way to finishing with the two best records in the age group.
The Under 14 and Under 12 showed how far they have come this season as finished with very good records. The Under 14 squads progressed rapidly as the day went on and one side finished with the second best record in the age group. This was certainly a testiment to the boys who drafted in a number of U13 players at short notice because of injuries.
The Under 12, enjoying their first taste of futsal, showed what they are capable of by coming away with a number of noticable scalps during the day.
Well done to all squads.
Reports on the Under 10, 11, 13 and Under 15's squads will follow.
