The young wingmakers U12 squad claim the crown at the FAW showpiece event in Cardiff!!

A huge congratulations to the U12 squad the became Champions of Wales on Sunday after a 2-0 final victory over fellow North Wales side Bangor City.

Their path to the final wasn't an easy one as South Wales champions, Carmarthen Town held the wingmakers to a 1-1 draw and penalties were needed to separate the two teams. Goalkeeper Jim McHarrie was the hero for the U12 as his save late in the shootout secured the Wingmakers passage into the final.

The final was a repeat of the North Wales final a month ago at Deeside Leisure Centre, with Airbus taking on Bangor City. Only this time, it was a very different outcome.

A first half strike from Harry Kaye gave the wingmakers the lead before a second half goal from Josh Stennett secured the trophy for the U12.

Massive well done to the U12 and coach Tom Wellings on this huge achievement for the Academy.

This is the SEVENTH National Academy trophy that the wingmakers have won since 2010.
