Under 13 and Under 15 produce fantastic displays despite going down in both games.

The Under 13 were the first game of the morning and produced arguably their best display of pre-season but it was in vain as they went down 2-1.

Young wingmaker Ethan Davies opened the scoring for Wirral with a delightful chip over Ben Francis. Despite creating the majority of the chances and shading the possession it was Wirral who came in ahead.

The second half saw Airbus again create more chances and the link up between Grant Faure and Connor Cox caused the visitors no end of problems. It was think link up that brought the equaliser for the home side. Connor Cox smashed home from the edge of the box after being teed up by Faure.

In the final period the home side again carved out some great chances but couldn't find a way past the inspired Wirral keeper. There was to be a sting in the tail though as Wirral hit on the counter attack to wrap up an enthralling contest between two very good sides.

The U15 then played the next fixture between the two teams and it was a reunion for ex academy player Will Evans who has moved on to trial with professional clubs.

The game started brightly for the U15, with striker Kai Hardcastle proving a constant threat to the Wirral defence. However, it was Wirral who went in front as they pounced on a defensive error. Kai Hardcastle levelled the scores with a smart finish.

Wirral went ahead again as ex wingmaker Will Evans hit a trademark shot from distance, that flew into the top corner. Kai Hardcastle levelled again for the home side with another deft finish from close range.

Another defensive error saw the visitors claim the games decisive goal as they capitalised on some indecisiveness in the Airbus backline.

Both games were highly competitive and we would like to thank Will Rowlands and Wirral Schoolboys for travelling on saturday and we wish them luck for next season.
