Touchline Behaviour

The following is an extract of a letter sent out by the RFU and is fairly self-explanatory.

Please remember that the referee is in charge of the game and that he/she gives their time freely and are volunteers, and always do their best to allow a safe and enjoyable game.

We should all respect the decisions of the referee as abuse of referees is chasing referees away from our game and very soon there will be no referees and, therefore, no game.

Before you start shouting at the referee, commenting about the performance of our opposition, or even our own team, please stop and think of just what the consequences of your action could be for our team and our club.

Don’t ruin our game and give your club a bad name - just enjoy the game of Rugby Union for what it is at our level, a game.

Have you seen these?
