Despite going behind after just 4 minutes, Aldermaston played well as a unit and eventually overcame a very determined opposition. First half tries from Laurent Crevel and Marcus Griffiths combined with a brace of penalties and conversion from Kyle Gregory, saw the visitors lead 5-18 at the break.

Gregory extended the lead with a penalty shortly into the second period and he added the extra's to Griffiths second try of the game soon afterwards.Ben Crew crashed over for bonus point try in the 65th minute and Crevel raced away to his second, and Aldermaston's fifth just before the end.

A solid start then and some performances of note, in particular teenager Hywel Evans who never shirked at tackle and made a nuisance of himself at the breakdown.
