On Sat, 9th June, the club hosted a game against our friends at Aviva Insurance in memory of the life of longstanding club member Pete Bradshaw.
With all funds being raised to be donated to the British Heart Foundation, 4th Team players old and new Iined up for the challenge against Aviva Insurance who provided a well balanced team for this important day to honour the life of Pete Bradshaw.
It was a well matched contest played out in less than ideal weather conditions , supported by a large crowd who saw the Aldwinians team just edge out the worthy opponents.
Everyone supported the main purpose of the day in the memory of Pete and a total of £1800 was raised through donations , auction and raffles to donate to the British Heart Foundation. The many raffle prizes kindly donated included:-
Manchester City Family Stadium Tour tickets
Tickets for the JP Morgan 7s at Sale
Salford City Reds Family Ticket
Signed Wasps Shirt.
Many other vouchers from local business around.
Pete was a well respected and loved member of Aldwinians for many years , who tragically lost his life whilst playing in a 4th Team game during last season.
Kick off is at 2.00pm so please come down and enjoy the afternoon , remember Pete , and support the Charity.
