An opening ten minutes which saw the home side give away more penalties than their entire last game meant the away side saw all the ball. However it was the home side who crossed the white wash first. After a good break from centre Brad Cook he passed inside to Danny Waterhouse who offloaded to prop Adam Royle who steamrolled his way 15 meteres to the tryline.

However more penalties from the restart meant that Crew built up pressure which lead to their first try. An overthrown lineout on halfway saw crewe get the ball and put width on the ball straight away. The crew centre got the ball set off down the wing advoiding some disappointing tackling to cross in the corner. From this point it was all crewe who kept up their pressure with their big pack. 10 minutes later saw the visitors cross for another try through their forwards in the corner. Constant crewe pressure meant Aldwinians were hangin on bravely devending the line. The home side manage to hang on untill half time time with the score 12 5 to the away side.

Aldwinians started the second half with much improvement and purpose. With fly half Andy Coxhill leading the fight back the home side retained the ball for some much needed pressure on the visitors. Crewe were defending very well and stifling everything that came at them. Then a great break from debutant Danny Lear lead to the first score of the half. Some solid drives from the forwards to lead to quick ball and Danny Lear crashing over the line in the corner. With the momentum very much with the home side a penalty goal from fly half Andy Coxhill to put Aldwinians into the lead 13 12. The next score was by the again impressive Jake Cassidy who crashed over in the corner to score his 4 try in 2 games.

With the away side down centre Shaun Gradwell made a break from half way which saw him avoid the tackle from the full back and score a fine try in the corner. With time running down Crewe tried to respond but Aldwinians held firm and grounded the remaining part of the game out. The final score Aldwinians 25 Crewe & Nantwitch 12
