Allan Glen's 26 - 52 Carrick

This turned out to be a very exciting game on a glorious Sunday afternoon.
Initially things looked rather bleak for the home side when Carrick scored after only four minutes via a touch down by Park after a good back move this score being converted by Johnston. By the 22nd minute Carrick were ahead by 24 points through additional two tries by Park and a penalty try.
At last Glen's woke up with two drive over mauls one credited to Shannon and the other to Murrell and a try by Reilly from a break by Henderson.
Two were converted by Thomson making a respectable half time score of 19 - 24.
After the break Carrick stepped up a gear and scored tries by Dewer and two by Kirk all converted by Johnston bringing the score to 19 - 45.
A fine effort by Mooney running in from 30 meters gave Glen's another seven points but Carrick had the last word when Park went over for the last score of the game.
Although Glen's put up a great fight Carrick deserved their win and will make worthy contenders in National 3.
