Date: Saturday 13th October 2012 - Kick Off: 15:00
RBS West Regional Leagues - RBS WEST LEAGUE DIVISION 1
| Allan Glens | 10 | vs | 49 | Marr |
Allan Glen’s 10 - 49 Marr
Improvement from Glen's but they couldn't match Marr
Marr gave a scintillating display on Saturday that ably demonstrated why they are top of the division. Glen’s scrum was the only area of competition that they were able to claim their own and gave the visitors a torrid time and often reversing the put in.
After only five minutes Bickerstaff opened the scoring for Marr when he broke through a somewhat suspect home defence to score. Magee added the extra points.
Marr added two more tries before the break via Gault and Rankin with Magee adding another penalty making a score of 0 - 22.
Although Glen’s stuck to their task and their forwards giving the visiting forwards as good as they got, the Marr backs took control and scored tries via Boyd, Bickerton (2), Gault and Magee.
Thomson kicked a penalty for Glen’s and then in the last minute caught the visitor unaware by taking a quick penalty and scoring between the posts. He converted his own try.
Back to the drawing board for Glen’s who despite the score had probably upped their game from previous weeks and can look forward to better prospects for next week match against Garnock at home.
