| Allan Glens | 9 | vs | 3 | Garnock |
Allan Glen’s 9 - 3 Garnock
Glen's snag an important win
This was a game which could have gone either way although Glen’s had by far the majority of territory but failed to capitalised. The game was spoiled by an over enthusiastic whistler leaving the players from both side confused on the interpretation of certain rules in particular those at the ruck.
Glen’s opened the scoring after only three minutes when Thomson kicked a penalty but despite having a big territorial advantage the home side could not add to their tally making a half time score of 3 - 0.
After the break Garnock did come more into the game but it was again Thomson who added to his penalty count for the Bishopbriggs team. Garnock replied with a penalty by McCulloch but it was Glen’s who finalised the score with another penalty by Thomson.
Glen’s forwards again dominated the scrum but struggled in the lineout. Murrell gave the visitors some problems with charging runs through the centre and McKeown and McKay came close to scoring on several occasions.
