Alnwick RFC First Team were awarded joint Team of the Year with Amble Tavern Football Club in the Alnwick and District Sports Council Annual Awards for 2016 held at the Playhouse on Wednesday 22nd February.

Club Captain Frank Hutchinson is pictured receiving the trophy from sponsor Tustain Motors Director, David Storey, with support from other first team stalwarts.

This is the second year running that the Club's efforts have been recognised locally having won Club of the Year last year.

Pictured above are the players enjoying a pint with Club President Bill Thompson, Chairman Dennis Hetherington and Vice Chairman Brian Lamb.

Owen Davidson, Rory Davidson and Liam Liddle of our Colts were also jointly nominated in the Junior Male Award, in recognition of their County appearances, but narrowly missed out on the trophy.
